Evelyn: she was
able to adapt even thrive. She looked for a job as a cultural advisor.
v Mr. Ainslie:
coop to the circumstances and went sightseeing.
v Graham: responded well, he enjoyed his time
playing cricket with young boys.
v Madge: adapted quickly and
looked for dates.

Muriel : was upset all the time also wanted to the leave the India after her operation but
couldn't.
v Mrs. Ainslie: didn't adapt, she stayed at the hotel doing nothing
but reading books.
